Rooted in traditional knowledge and modern science
Before starting acupuncture I worked in Biological Sciences, research and teaching. After experiencing the benefits of acupuncture myself, I trained in acupuncture for five years, completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine with high distinction at the University of Technology Sydney (BHSc-TCM).
The joy of learning
Many teachers around the world continue to expand my professional knowledge and experience. For example, I have participated many times in the TCM Congress in Rothenburg, Germany. For one week about 1200 practitioners from 40 countries come together in hands-on workshops and in-depth learning.
Your safety first
Acupuncture is generally considered to be safe but occasionally may be associated with possible adverse reactions in individual cases. I am a Registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Registration regulation sets strict practitioner requirements to protect your safety. This includes a code of ethical practice, qualification, confidentiality, insurance and continuing professional education. I am accredited by the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
